All Inclusive Cruises FAQ's

What is it?

All inclusive cruises are cruises both on rivers and on the oceans that include almost every amenity or purchase possible in the original purchase price.

How Does it Work?

Cruise lines can afford to do this by charging more upfront for the fare. These all inclusive cruises will be more expensive than others, but they will include a lot more in that price. Common amenities that are included are food and drinks, shore excursions, taxes, port fees, and even airfare and ground transportation.

Where can you Buy It?

All of these all inclusive cruises can be purchased online through various websites. They can be bought directly from the company who owns the ships, or they may be found through third-party websites. These websites are designed to show you a list of options to choose from based on certain categories such as length of the trip, cruise line, and/or destination and give you the best deals available.

Price Range

The price range of these vacation packages can vary quite a bit. This is due to factors such as the time of the year, the size of the stateroom or suite, the length of the trip, the destinations included, and the company where the fares are purchased. If you purchase a fairly long voyage during the prime traveling season for that area and stay in a larger room or suite, then your fare is going to be much more expensive than others may be.

How We Reviewed

The following all inclusive cruises were reviewed based on the following parameters: Features, Pros & Cons, Price and Where to Buy. The findings on these parameters were taken from hundreds of passenger reviews and testimonials from each specific cruise line.

Overall Price Range Of This Product

The price range of these all inclusive cruises is quite vast. The cheapest on our list starts at about $1500 per person, and the most expensive can be closer to $5000. However, this is dependent on the factors that were previously discussed. It is noted that the more expensive ones do tend to include more options. The most expensive on our list covers all food and drinks, all onboard activities, all shore excursions, all fees and port charges, as well as gratuities, airfare and ground transportation. Our least expensive cruise listed does not cover shore excursions, airfare, ground transportation, and most fees and charges. This makes the term "all-inclusive" a little elusive.

The Verdict

The inclusions on these amazing vacation packages are quite astounding. And while most of them include the necessities for your trip, there are some that obviously give you more. You may have to pay a little more upfront for those trips, but they may end up being cheaper in the long run when you are not being nickel and dimed to death by all the potential fees on board and on shore.

Our favorite is Regent. They include everything you could think of, counting the big stuff like airfare and shore excursions. However, Viking comes in at a close second. While it may not include quite as much, what it isn't makes all the difference. We also really like UnCruise Adventures for their different take on cruises and the offering of more adventurous shore excursions as well as their smaller ships. However, if you like the larger crowds, you might be pleased with Oceania. They can offer much more onboard amenities than their smaller counterparts at comparable prices.

No matter what your fancy, there is something bound to please on this list. Take a look for yourself and see what you think.
